Why You Can’t Fool Google
Warning! Google is not deceived. Almost every day, I read about a corporation or individual attempting to deceive Google using SEO. When are they going to realize that they can't trick Google? Why would you even want to do it when you risk being blacklisted from the world's largest search engine? Many people appear to do it only to see whether it can be done. As a rule of thumb, it cannot! There are some cases where people believe they have fooled Google. They believe that something they did has shot their site to the top of Google's listings, and they really believe that they have "sticked it to the man."
When this happens, nine times out of ten, they either did an SEO process that Google accepts or even approves, or they simply occurred to fill Google's criteria better than other sites in their category without even recognizing it. Every now and again, someone will come up with a way to fool Goggle. They will have a wonderful high spot on Google's listings for a few months, but ultimately the end will come for these proud sites. When Google discovers that it has been fooled, these sites are removed from the index, sometimes permanently. The truth is that these people are unaware of Goggle's influence.
Anyone who is serious about making money on the internet should keep in mind that being blacklisted from search engines effectively removes your site off the internet. They are not required to let you back in, nor are they required to offer you the right to react. You're completely at their mercy. You don't want to get in their good graces. Aside from the fact that Goggle would remove you from its listings, there is another reason not to try to deceive Goggle. You are deceiving your customers if you deceive Goggle. There's no reason to try to entice visitors to your page by promising them something but actually offering them something different.
This is a terrible business practice that, more often than not, will drive the customer away for good. If you want your website to be found in categories that don't apply to it, try buying advertisements on pages that are near the top of the Google listings in these categories. By adding another connection to your site, you can actually improve your site's reputation in Google's eyes rather than harm it.
This is a wonderful type of marketing because it allows you to go out beyond your market for a small monthly fee.
Link farms and link exchanges are two of the most prevalent ways for attempting to deceive Google's PageRank engine. Link farms are websites that operate solely to have links to specific websites counted by search engines. Link exchanges are collections of websites that pay a monthly fee to link to one another. Similar to link farms, but more expensive and risky. In both circumstances, the websites in question are attempting to climb the ranks of Google's search results by amassing a large number of links to them.
This is referred to as Googlebombing. However, it does not always work. Google understands that cheaters can devastate their search engine for the rest of us. After instance, if link farms artificially raise the rankings of less-useful Websites, we will all begin to receive inferior search results. That is why Google PageRank is regularly updated to keep such sites at bay. Goggle's Page Rank formula is obscure and constantly changing. This is the main reason Goggle cannot be deceived. cloak bots?, violating robots.txt to see whether sites are cloaking? Search engines are served a page that differs from what users see. These cloak bots are contentious, yet they appear to have a good impact on Google rankings. Unethical practices make it harder for people who are attempting to do SEO correctly, which is one of the reasons why it must be closely watched.
It would be much easier to keep track of what was going on if people stopped attempting to discover methods to game the system.
